I cooked chicken porridge for dinner last night. Inspired by Indonesian recipe, a little bit different from chinese chicken porridge. The chicken fillet was first boiled until it was cooked, then pan fry to get that crispy skin. For topping, I used fried wanton skin.

Gina, do you have a picture of this dish? How do you use the wanton skin for topping?

Unfortunately I didn't take the picture. Still learning how to 'decorate' my cooking ;D
To use wonton skin as topping, cut the squares into 4 strips and deep fry them. I like munching on them too, dipped in tomato ketchup.
On Sunday, for lunch I cooked wonton soup (with chicken + prawn fillings). Then for dinner we have roast potatos + corn. Very simple. I will try to take pictures next time.
What did you have?

Hi tantegaul Your beef sambal goreng sounds delicious. I love sambal chilli! It's a must-have in my kitchen. Is this dish identical to beef randang? Janny, your meals at home are all so healthy. For me, today for lunch i cooked a dish i got off the internet. In Englsih translation, it's called Preserved Turnip Rice Noodles.

Didn't do much cooking yesterday. Instead I was baking muffins late afternoon-early evening. For dinner with have roast chicken (bought from Coles) with lettuce salad. Lots of colourful coral lettuce, avocado + tomato in 99% fat free french dressing ;D
Tonight I will cook ginger beef - something my mum cooks frequently, with my own modification to suit my husband's taste bud.

Janny It's pretty easy to cook that rice noodle dish. Basically, just fry with garlic, salted turnip or raddish and pounded dried prawns. For seasoning, it's fish sauce, salt and lots of white pepper. Also, add some bok choy in noodles. Actually the recipe from the internet sugeested to garnish a swirl of brown garlic oil on top of the cooked dish. I did not as i don't really like the taste of too much garlic. To make garlic oil, use 2tbsp of chopped garlic stirred in 1/2 cup of oil and microwave on High for 1 minute, then left to brown further. ( if you want a full description of the recipe, let me know, i will post it up or pm you. For dinner tonight, i cooked yong tau foo as both my husband and myself are down with a flu, and we feel like eating something soupy!
