about gossipy people, there are everywhere. i am sure there are lots of them too in spg. maybe you are just lucky enough not to have met such people or not to have noticed them / their behaviour  |

hey janny, all said and done, i dunno if i can go back and live in crowded Singapore! I dun miss the human traffic, shopping crowds and the tiny confines of the island!
I'm also not into pubbing and drinking now....
And yea, talking about sports, that all they show on TV on weekends! Cricket, tennis, rugby, fishing...goodness man...
maybe i should get pay tv

Yes yes Fern. Weekends nothing to watch except sports! haha. We rent HKG serials to watch and my friend subcribe to pay TV, so we'd crowd around her room to watch Taiwan variety shows. ;D

we rent dvds on week end too. but then again my hubby is a mad cricket fan. so in summer we watch cricket and in winter we watch football pay tv is a good idea fern. if you miss chinese show, ask min. she has got HK satelite. |

When I first went to Perth, I nearly broke down as well in campus. Cos it was so foreign. I skip school for 2 weeks! But finally get my feet up. I was there for 5 years. When i came back to spore, i hve culture shock cos of the crowd, jam and the negativity of people here. Also too ridget and conform to traditional so much. I miss the big carpark space, the cheerful and friendly faces and the positiveness of people there. I am always so happy in Perth. Here in Spore, I feel very sad and frustrated.

I'm not deeply unhappy, nor was i forced to come here...
guess i had too high expectations before i came here...
I'm sure every country and every place has it's own pros and cons.
The above are just my observations.

you remind me of myself septembre when i finished my study, i went to work in sgp and i was so sad the first few months i was there.. although previously i always love sgp. i cried at night, hated the weather (heat, sweat), the rude crowd that pushed people in the train and stood at the door... after a while i accepted that it was my life... get on with it  |

So sep, are you now back in SGP?
i think if i do go back to SGP, the first thing i will complain about is the service standards.
there are many friendly faces around here, and true, a lot of 'positive vibes' all over.
In singapore, a lot of service staff dun greet you, or say thank you.
i miss the feelings of having close friends to gossip, pregnant dog and whine to...
