Hey janny, so what do you do most of the time since you are not working yet? When i first got here, i wished i could hurry up and get a job so that i wouldn't be so bored, but now i wish i could be a tai tai cos i miss the days when i could sleep in and laze around and go shopping while my hubby worked!
now I'm toying with the idea of an online business so that i can work from home.

i spent most of my time in front of my computer doing my website working from home might be ideal for you, and you don't have to worry about dealing with ppl you don't feel comfortable with. but the disadvantage might be you would be too cosy at home and therefore don't socialise.

Jan so you are here for like 7 years? That's a long time to make lots of friends here.
Fern good idea to start your own business. get your inspiration from Singapore. I think spore has lots of good small business going on, but the market is too saturated here with everyone doing the same thing. Maybe can adopt some ideas from here to Oz. I know I'm looking out.

Yea, that was really funny...
Yea, me also got love hate relationship with SGP. 1 of the main reasons i feel quite miserable here is missing my family so much. i have a very close knit family, including grandma, uncles and aunties, cousins and my 2 beautiful baby nieces.
Australia is big and it's a beautiful country. my move here is more or less permanent, cos it is also my hubby;s homeland.
I miss SGP, but i think can only go back for a holiday and not permanently liao...
So are you planning to come back Sep?

Heheh, jan, i'm not really a social recluse or hate all the aussies la...just my current colleagues...i have to clear my namelah...i shouldn't have made a sweeping comment about aussies, but the females in my co are veterans and act like queens around here... give 1 more eg. the other day col A was saying how another driver scolded her for talking on mobile w/o handsfree while on the road. She bragged she is able to hold phone and talk, do makeup and drive at the same time. Most of us would feel that's a stupid and irresponsible thing to do right... Does that give u a general idea of what mentality and personality they have? Ok, back to to topic...no firm plans, i am trying to see if i can make a profit of selling imported fashin online.
