Oh, looks yummy. I have to ask the same question as Min, is it like ngoh hiam? Hmmm...the filling does look different though, got shrimp? Yes, pls post the recipe when you found it. Thanks!

already post the recipe. found it last night on a sticky paper it is similar to ngoh hiang (but don't have the five spice powder = ngoh hiang). we call it he keung , he is prawn in teochew. so far from picture of ngoh hiang i have seen the difference is in the shape (not rounding, more oval) and also we slice it first (after steaming) before frying, whereas ngohhiang is fried in whole first then sliced. do try the recipe, hope you all like it.

Hi Lena I am glad your family like it. It is the must have on our family feast , sometimes served with thai sweet chilli sauce.
