Men especially prefer to drive than letting their partner and their reasons??.. we drive too slowly; parking also takes some time; always overtaken by others; slowed down before reaching the traffic lights to make sure the red light did not pop out suddenly; always stop when the amber light is still on; signal lights on every turn even short distance away…….. I don’t think this is the real reason as I believe they are not confident of female drivers. My dad gave me extra driving lessons even though I got a driving instructor. I passed with “colours” that is without giving bribes. So why men are nervous huh?

I think female drivers are actually safer drivers than male drivers, because females tend to be more careful. But being extra careful means taking longer time making decision, and that get men annoyed. Therefore, the usual expletive "Female Driver!". Also, women are known to be not able to parallel park ;D

After some observations from living here, I personally think that it's not abt men or women. Some ppl juz do not know how to drive! But I definitely think that men are more impatient when it comes to sitting beside us when we drive.
In my case, my hubby had the most impatient time with me while I was learning to drive. He thinks I'm either too slow or too fast, with no balance in between or that I made too much of mistakes that examiners look out for. True enough, I did make those mistakes but I've improved. Eversince I've got my license, he doesn't yell at me for making small mistakes anymore but still look out for things that I've done wrong on the roads.
One thing abt him is, he actually enjoys me driving him around sometimes...haha! And I definitely agree with Jan that women tend to not able to parallel park cos I'm one of them too!

There are men who can't parallel park too! ;D Yes I agree most men are impatient lots and also hell drivers when they are annoyed. Linlin, I am very nervous if I am yelled at when I am driving.

I'm not great at parallel parking either, especially if there is a car behind me waiting to cross at a narrow lane. But I am sure if we practise more, it would not be such a trepidation.
I think that some ladies become too complacent allowing our dh to drive us around....that we sometimes lose the 'confidence' in driving. I think practise and thus gaining confidence and control plays an important role in driving.

Linlin, I am very nervous if I am yelled at when I am driving. Me too, & I hate it! Speaking too early that my husband doesn't yell at me anymore...I juz got yelled at earlier on while driving juz because I turned in too slowly into a lane, he said I am endangering our lives...now I'm still sore at it & doesn't want to talk to him

*Knock wood* Linlin ;D........It's our fault to let the men take control especially driving. Eventually they would lose confidence in us when we are driving.
