Here are 4 dos & don'ts when it comes to looking good in a skirt (info extracted from Glamour magazine):
DO the "tug & twist" test before you buy a skirt, which means u sit, squat & bend in it. If it demands constant repositioning, don't buy it!
DO wear a style that is slightly above the knee if you're short, with heels. It will act as a leg lengthener.
DON'T pair a skirt with ankle boots. You'll look squat!
DON'T do a long skirt & an extra long top. The glut of fabric will make you look bulky & hide your shape.

I have two years of unopen Glamour magazine and 1 year of Marie Claire magazine sitting in my closet. That's what happen when one turned to be a parent. I read baby and parenting magazines instead and couldn't seem to find time to read those magazines. I guess it will be all out of fashion when I do read it.

Skirts eh? I can count with my fingers (finger) how many time I have worn skirts in public since July 2000. Yeap, once ! ;D
Hubby complained I have given up on feminine clothes. Can't help it. I used to wear sundresses (floral dresses, as I used to call them) on weekend when I lived in Singapore. Used to get them from a shop called Just, they had girls who can alter the size for me. I used to wear slip dresses under jacket for office wear. But now, because the weather tend to be cool, I normally wear pants and shirts. The lesser flesh revealed the better for me.
