Hi What is the type of housework that you hate doing most? And why? For me, i hate ironing most because: (1) i can't iron well (2) i don't like the fact that i have to stand at one spot for minutes or even hours to do something (3) find ironing makes me sweat due to the heat coming out from the iron!!! So, any tips to make ironing easier??? ;D

Haha Min me too. I don't like to iron. I feel it's a waste of time to stand and just iron. So boring. I don't like the heat that makes me perspire like mad after that too. I still don't have solution for this. But I am thinking of of getting a steam iron. Dunno if it helps. I wish I can hire someone to do the ironing for me.

Haha Janny. That's what my hubby does when I ask him to iron his clothes himself. Maybe I should try that. But the thought of taking the ironing board out to the living room makes me think twice. I'm so lazy....I don't like the wires of the iron as well. Sometimes it rides up my clothes which I've so painstakingly ironed.

Yar its more expensive than a normal iron. That's why I'm still stuck with the normal iron. I think it's about $200+ here in Singapore.

Same here, I hate ironing! I iron my husband's business shirts once every 2 weeks. I got him a few wrinkle free easy iron shirts during stocktake sales to make my life easier. I think he has enough shirts to last 2.5-3 weeks! But then when the time comes for me to do ironing, I would do it very very reluctantly and usually in front of telly watching Oprah as well. And oh, I usually had the fans on and a glass of cold drinks nearby while doing the ironing.

I have been giving this a thought. I think my most hated chore would be doing the dishes especially the pots and pans after a big cook up. Mine are terrible. Being first time buyer we didn't know what to look out for when purchasing pots and pans. Now I know!!! Don't ever ever buy those with grooves in them. They might look nice, but hell to clean.

I don't iron my clothes at my go. I only iron on the day I wanna go out. So I'd pick something and iron before dressing.

Yoo hu Well like many of you, I hate ironing the most. So most of the time, I leave this job to my domestic maid. Well she has been with me for almost 10 months already and has been ironing everyday but she is not too good at it too. Many a time, I saw her dozing off when ironing. It is a bit dangerous but I can understand that it is the most boring thing to do amongst all the household chores.

No I hang most of my clothes to let gravity help me straighten them abit. haah. I only fold those wear-at-home clothes. So I hve lots of hangers. Actually i don't have enuff, i need to get more soon.
Happy family, so funny your maid dozed off while ironing. It really goes to show what a boring job ironing is man. Having said that it's really dangerous to doze off while ironing. She may burnt herself.

I hate ironing as well as you ladies. Have not been ironing for 2 years. How?
1) Myself: I buy wrinkle-free work clothes : when handwashed and hung dry, they don't have creases like tumble dried do.
2) Hubby's: Hee he iron himself cos anyway he says he don't like to wear creased clothes.
