For a spotless toilet bowl, brush off any visible dirt first, flush, then spray some bleach around the rim. Lastly, pour the rest of the bleach into the bowl. Do not flush for the next few hours, preferably overnight. Your toilet bowl will be shiny and clean.
I use cheap plastic spray bottles from Priceline (something like Watson in SGP). If you do too, make sure you empty the bottle after each use, then rinse it cleanly and spray a few times with clean water in it, to remove any bleah residue. Or else you will find your bottle clogged and cannot be used anymore.
