1. Less is more Don't wear all your jewellery at once, or you'll end up looking like a christmas tree ;D
2. Earings They should work against your face shape. Round : long drops below jawline visually slim and lengthen a round face. Rectangular or tear drop shapes are good too. Long: Hoops or wider chandelier styles. Angular/square: avoid angular earings. Soft feathery styles and delicate chandeliers are best, also hoops.
3. Necklaces Short neck/round face: V shapes elongate the nect. Do not wear chockers. Busty: Do not wear necklaces that end above bustline. Long pendants visually lengthen and slim the body.
Caring for jewellery: Pearls: Chemicals in perfume and hair spray can damage the nacre of the pearl. Never use harsh solvents to clean them, a damp cloth will suffice. Diamonds: Soak in warm water with a gentle detergent and use soft toothbrush to brush away dirt. Gold/Silver: Most scratches can be polished away by a jeweller. Use a soft polishing cloth to remove tarnish. Do not use liquid silver polish if the piece is set with delicate gems such as pearls. Clean with gentle detergent and water and dry thoroughly. Pack silver pieces away as they tarnish in the air.
