Hi To Everyone

Hi to everyone I know or who knows me. Thanks Janny.

One more forum that I can come to.

To the one who do not know me: I love to cook, bake, use

to love to sew but old alrady too lazy to do. I love to learn

new things but now a days do not have the time or

energy to pursue some of them. I love to collect recipe

too. I love to try them out when I have the time. Hope to

learn new things or contribute where I can.

So sorry dear, I am glad to hear that you did not get offended. I do feel older than you at the rate I am going on! Well… actually I did grow up faster than I'm suppose too. I was a mother to my siblings when I was 10 years old. When my mother died I had to take over as I am the second and being a girl so the duties fell on my shoulders. I can never forget the first vegetable that I tried to fry, long beans! Yes, long beans of all veg.! I had to fry it 3 times before we could eat it. And the worst thing was at that time we used woods not gas to cook! Well.. now you learn a little bit more about me ya?

hmm, you are like my mom in many ways. She started very young too. like around 10 years old too. But becoz her mom was old fashioned and thinks that a woman's place is in the home and kitchen and made her start young. My mom hated cooking becoz it became a chore. She used to cook and grumble at the same time. When I was old enough for the kitchen, she didn't want me to learn as she remembered her childhood wasn't fun.

YOu, luckly girl. You know because my late mother was so OLd fashioned that I end up not literate. She said girls don't have to school, because we going to be married off someday! Well luckily she is gone otherwise she has me to tell her off! She was the direct opposite from your mum. I was trained to do small chores when i was 8 or 9 years old. As if she knew she was going to leave us.
Anyway, that's my fate.

my mum didn't let me cook to as a child. but not because of any strong reason, just because i was a short girl ;D. her stove was kinda too high for me to work on comfortable. so i was always chased away from the kitchen, especially when there were hot oil involved.

i only started cooking 'quite' regularly when i was in uni. i shared an apartment with some friends, and they cooked religiously. i must admit i didn't. that's why i put on at 7 kg during my first winter, from too much frozen pizza

Same as you, I didn't cook when I was young although I like experimenting in the kitchen. My mum thought I made a mess in her kitchen, so I was not given enough chance to cook

I started cooking and baking extensively when I was in uni. I had a group of cooking kaki. It was real fun sharing the same interest with this group of friends.
