Hi all, The 'What did you cook today' has already had 8 pages . Thought it might be good to start a new thread on the same subject. What do you think ? Here's what I made 2 days ago. Sorry lah, the pic is so huge. I didn't resize it. Too lazy

I tried making an Upside-down Pineapple Cake. Personally, it actually looks nicer than it taste...well, maybe I'm just not a 'pudding' person!! Also sharing an 'Oyster' pizza I made over the weekend. Lovely with very chilled white wine!!

Ok, last one (for today, I promise).....baked an Orange Chiffon cake using Flo's recipe and for the first time, using a proper chiffon cake tin c/o MIL. Very pleased that it was nice and 'high'. (Well to my standards anyway)

Your chocolate cake looks really yummy. I will have to try it soon. Or should I wait for you to perfect the recipe, Jo Kirsten, you must have 'busy' night after the oyster pizza, no? ;D the pineapple upside down cake is pretty.

I made Ayam Kalasan Goreng Keringan (deep fried chicken) when I had friends over for lunch yesterday. The crispy stuff are actually deep fried batter. I served the chicken with nasi uduk (coconut rice not unlike nasi lemak, but with more spices added). Unfortunately I ran out of peanut, so I couldn't make the Sambal Kemiri to go with Nasi Uduk.

kirsten, Is that orange cream cheese frosting? Jo, its an orange frosting made of icing, butter and orange juice plus orange rind. My co-taster (aka me Mum) said that I shouldn't have iced the sides. Just the top would be sufficient. But what to do, I had extra and thought why not!!! Though may look 'sinful', the cake actually taste much better with the icing! hehehehehe ;D
