Janny...your ayam bakar makes me salivate. Wah...eat with rice and sayur lodeh...can die for! Aww...don't be too hard on yourself. I am sure a few more tries it will look wonderful. I too am never good at decorating cakes and not forgetting taking photos. As for myself, baked this for my DH coz he wanted muffins...

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies. Recipe for Ayam Bakar Bumbu Bali is already posted at Recipe section. Jadepearl, your pictures are clear this time. So you found out how to focus? Well done. Seeing all the success in making kaya, I feel so ashamed with my previous attempt, 10 eggs and 1/2 kg sugar down the drain Lin, your buns look lovely. Did you hand-knead them? What recipe did you use? Lily, errhhh.. malu lah to admit to you. Those are purchased yck. I cut and grilled them only. Still haven't tried making yck after the first failure. Remember, only me & hubby eating them, success or failure

Lin, your buns look lovely. Did you hand-knead them? What recipe did you use? Jan, thanx for the compliments Yep I hand-knead them cos I dun have a high duty mixer & recipe was taken from Leelee (hugbear) on KC. Your lek tau suan makes me drool u know, been so long since I had that, miss it! As for your 1st decoration of cake, hey u did pretty well. My 1st time decorating cake was far off worse than yours, keep practising, I'm sure u will get better at it in no time

Jan - Yup...the photos are more focus now coz I no longer using my O2 mini, instead I am using my DH's O2 XdaII. Actually, I cheated a bit when I made my kaya. It was all lumpy. So, I blended it and it became smooth.

Linlin, nice looking 'buns'! (lol) Was looking at your blog for recipe, then read that u followed hugbear's recipe. So which filling did your hubby like? jadepearl, nice pandan kaya. This is what I made (a while ago) for my son's bday party....purple jello cake. The only 'tough' part was doing the crust - was more troublesome than I envisage!!
