New thread, everybody K, the chocolate chips I used is Blackwood Rainbow. It is big, like pebble stones . Taste like chocolate too, not sugar. The cookie recipe is nothing to write home about. Taste very ordinary. I think you can use any of your favourite cookie recipes to make something that look like my cookies. Next time you pop into Melbourne, grab tubs of the choc chips. Oh, Beef Stew. I used cubed beef, and the cubed are small. So I wasn't impressed by the look. I did make mash potato, partially following Linlin's recipe . I used my own home made garlic parsley butter that has been sitting in the fridge since Christmas. Add milk and mash the potato.

Jan, did you add coconut milk into your laksa? Another kind of Penang laksa with coconut milk???

I also don't know what it is. I made it using a packaged mix. The label said Lemak Laksa. But the ingredients to use include Sardine and those other stuff like onion and cucumber that usually go with Penang Laksa. And another strange thing, to put lemon juice in it to make it sourish ;D I was expecting Penang Laksa though, so kinda disappointed. Edit: Forgot to answer Ching. Yes, it has coconut milk.

Last Night Dinner, Greek Bean Soup (very vegetarian!) and this is for you, Vicky, puff pastry with banana filling. It would look much nicer if you use egg wash to glaze. Me, being el-cheapo, use milk to glaze only, so not nice and shiny. To wasteful to break one egg for glazing 6 pcs of small little pastries.

Nice dinner, janny. I like your soup. Actually I love all kinds of soup, except intestine and pepper soup.

I tried hugbear's American Choc Cake. If anyone tires it, make sure u use at least 1.5x of the recipe or double it, otherwise will be slightly flat....like mine!!! Taste nice.

K, Looking good Is that the Alan Ooi's recipe from M4M? What size tin did you use? Jan, cannot remember exactly whose recipe from m4m but hugbear shared it and mentioned that she got it from a m4m member there. I used 18cm cake tin - i think if you double the recipe u will have a much taller cake, then can have at least 3 or 4 nice layers. If not just go with 1.5x the recipe. Your Blackwood colourful choc chips would have been mighty handy for the deco!! ;D
