Lin, Your potato au gratin looks scrumptious. Something my hubby the potato lover will love. Thanx Jan, u can cook it for ur hubby too! Edith, yep a feast! We were too full at the end of the dinner especially from the cheesy potatoes. Le is not a Chinese food person so I have to cook at least a western meal or two every week

Yesterday I baked Alan Ooi's American Chocolate Cake. My verdict: not really a cake for me, I found it too rich and too chocolatey (if there is such a word ) And then I baked some Coffee & Walnut Shortbread

Looking good, the kaya looks smooth ( I made some yesterday too!), the chicken wings yummy, the chocolate cake looks moist and rich (yum!). By the way, what is shortbread? Like a cookie?

Baked another easy puff pastry snack. Because of the apple pie filling used besides the banana & raisin, it has a bit of of tart taste that is quite different from the banana puff I made before. I used a scallop sandwich maker to make it, but I found traditional baking in the oven gives crisper result.
