Ladies Wow! All of you did a wonderful job except me Last Friday I made the nine layers kueh by hugbear but the kueh was so hard. The pandan kaya cake I made was a disaster. I made the kaya way before my cake was cooled. In the end the cake looked like the moon. sigh! By the way, can I check with you all something? How do I achieve a nicely & evenly cut cake?

How do I achieve a nicely & evenly cut cake? What a coincidence. I was discussing this with Vicky the other day. Here is a fancy tool you can use www.pastrychef.com/Catalog/cake_marker_389763.htmFor me myself, I just cut the cake right in the middle to divide it into 2 equal parts, then divide again into 4, then into 8 or 12. Something like that.

Ching, pai seh man! I think I am a bit different from other pregnant ladies. Tend to be more active than before I got pregnant. Cook more and bake more. Guess my baby will be very active Was only very lazy the first 3 months. kirsten, You are very hardworking lah. Baked so much! I like the way you decorated your cheesecake. Very creative! Was it for Father's Day?

Jan and Jo, actually I was not too happy with the circles....I didn't realise that i was holding it too high and hence some of the lines were very uneven...hahahah....I suppose i should have practised on the side first! My son actually called it a "Spiderman" cake becos of the pattern on the cake and would keep insisting at looking at the cake every 5 min. I keep telling him that if he keeps opening the fridge, he will have a melted cake!! No Jo, that wasn't the Father's Day cake, the one below was the FD cake. I was very fortunate to find a pick for it and spared from piping the words! Unlike Edith, I really am terrible at it - very big and uneven!!!!
